What is flipping typical?

A way to explore the popular typefaces you have on your computer.

My favourite font doesn't show up, what's that about?

Click the black bar at the top of the screen and type in the name of the font you want. It will become the main font and be remembered for the future. If that doesn't work, please let me know.

Wait a second, this is in my web browser, how do you know what fonts i have installed!?!

We create some hidden elements and measure them before and after changing their font-family. It turns out that this isn't a new idea.

Anything else?

Just a few keyboard shortcuts: b = bold, i = italic, j = justify text, a = sort alphabetically, r = sort randomly, e = enter text to compare, E = overwrite text to compare, n = toggle night mode

What should this work on?

Firefox 2+, Safari 3+, IE7+. iOS5 Mobile Safari. OS/X a fair bit nicer than Windows.

Who is responsible for this?
